SLA members and non-members are welcome to attend.
This is a perfect opportunity for library school students and new chapter members to meet other librarians in the Sacramento area.
This should be a fun and relaxed atmosphere but we hope it will offer an effective way to make new contacts while building existing relationships. Bring your business cards!

Join fellow local librarians and former Arboretum curator, Warren Roberts, for a tour of the UC Davis Arboretum. The Arboretum is a remarkably beautiful nature preserve on the campus, featuring gardens with plants from all climatic zones, but segregated by ecological zones, e.g. Mediterranean, Australian, etc. It has been featured in Sunset magazine and other journals for its striking beauty and appeal. An internationally-known botanist and horticulturist, Warren, who retired in 2010 as Superintendent Emeritus, after 38 years of service at UC Davis, will focus on tips for gardening in arid California.
